Polysomnography Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnography Specialist to join our team at CGH Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in polysomnography and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. They will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and integrating patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs.
The Polysomnography Specialist will also be responsible for explaining pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to patients, responding to procedural-related inquiries, and completing and verifying documentation.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing testing preparation procedures, including preparation and calibration of equipment, application of electrodes/sensors, and routine positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting.
The Polysomnography Specialist will work under the general supervision of the clinical director and will be responsible for overseeing and performing difficult and unusual procedures and therapeutic interventions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of professionally accepted guidelines for scoring sleep/wake stages and clinical events, as well as the ability to generate accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data.
