Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Specialist to join our team in the role of Phlebotomy. As a key member of our laboratory staff, you will be responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens from patients in various settings, including our inpatient unit and Medical Group offices. Your attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure will ensure accurate specimen collection and processing.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform venipunctures and skin punctures to collect blood specimens from neonates to adults
• Ensure accurate identification of specimens and perform accessioning procedures as needed
• Troubleshoot discrepancies and resolve issues related to specimen collection and processing
• Maintain knowledge of adequate and correct collection requirements
• Utilize computer systems to register patients, facilitate billing, and perform overall specimen accessioning and processing

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP)
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
