About Orca Bay Foods, LLC

We are a food processor with nearly 30 years of experience in the industry. We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections, tests, and evaluations to identify defects and deviations
  • Maintain thorough records of findings
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company-specific quality control guidelines
  • Select random samples from production batches for inspection
  • Communicate inspection results to relevant personnel and collaborate on necessary actions
  • Identify root causes of defects and work with others to develop solutions
  • Provide feedback to improve processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall product quality

Requirements:

  • HACCP Certification a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (Basic Level)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately
  • Basic understanding of quality control principles and practices
  • Ability to use equipment and instruments effectively
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Work Environment:

The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
