Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Training Specialist to join our team at Zobility. As a Technical Training Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering live and virtual technical training to dealership technicians in the areas of diagnosis, service, and maintenance of various automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Training Delivery: Provide high-quality technical training to dealership technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills to diagnose and repair complex automotive issues.
  • Vehicle Evaluation: Drive new model vehicles for evaluation and product familiarity, staying up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Maintain the highest level of technical proficiency in all areas of automotive diagnosis, service, and maintenance.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure the inventory and functionality of tools, components, vehicles, and facilities are maintained at optimal levels.
  • Course Development Support: Support the Course Development Team as needed, contributing to the creation of high-quality training materials.
  • Training Scheduling: Assist in the development of training schedules to ensure optimal course seat fill and meet the needs of dealership technicians.
  • Course Registration and Roster Processing: Assist with individual course registrations and roster processing to ensure seamless course delivery.
  • Training Coordination: Coordinate with Business Center Field personnel on training initiatives, as required, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Dealership Communication: Communicate with dealership personnel on training requirements, ensuring they are aware of available training opportunities.
  • Service Manager Support: Counsel with Service Managers to help them understand and utilize technical training for the benefit of the dealership.
Requirements
  • Technical Knowledge: Possess technical knowledge of automotive components and systems, including diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Diagnostic Skills: Demonstrate the ability to work skilfully with highly technical diagnostic equipment, including Scan Tools, Lab Scopes, DVOMs, Air Conditioning Recycling Equipment, Vibration Diagnostic Equipment, etc.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with various personality types.
  • Time Management and Organization: Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills to complete tasks with minimal direction.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years' experience as a technician, with experience teaching automotive preferred.
  • Clean Driving Record: Possess a clean driving record and be willing to travel, as needed (up to 30%).
