Job Summary: As an Admissions Counselor at Harrisburg Area Community College, you will play a vital role in recruiting future students through personalized communications, community interactions, and recruitment events. This is a unique opportunity to integrate with high school and community partners and future students in the early stages of their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit future students through personalized communications and community interactions
  • Present HACC to diverse populations through formal presentations, one-on-one appointments, campus tours, and written communications
  • Meet with future students to answer HACC questions and assist in the admissions process
  • Plan on-site and virtual special events to engage with future students
  • Assist future students with completing HACC's application
  • Attend college fairs, job fairs, high school information sessions, and other community events to present and provide information about HACC
  • Manage high-volume communications with future students
  • Provide excellent customer service to all individuals
  • Serve as a liaison and contact person for high schools and community partners who refer future students to HACC

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree and three years of experience or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Licensing Requirements: Please note that this position is required to comply with PA Act 15
