Job Summary:

Samsung SDS America is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Logistics Sales Director. This position will play a crucial part in promoting our company's products and services for imports and exports, aiming to increase sales and meet ambitious targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives, leveraging market trends and competitor analysis.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead the sales team, providing guidance, motivation, and support to achieve sales targets, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, cultivate relationships with potential clients, and expand the customer base, utilizing industry connections and networking.
  • Sales Performance: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, implementing corrective actions to ensure targets are met or exceeded, and providing regular progress updates to senior management.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive dynamics, and potential areas for growth, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, through regular communication and issue resolution.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as operations, marketing, and finance to ensure alignment and effective communication, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements, contracts, and partnerships, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes and compliance with company policies.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage sales budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, and providing regular financial updates to senior management.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and performance, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct performance evaluations for the sales team, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing training or development plans to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and other relevant metrics for senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations for business improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher required in a business-related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years in International Freight Forwarding and/or logistics sales experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience working with the top global freight forwarders.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the domestic and international transportation industry (trucking, air and ocean modes).
  • Proven track record in sales, prospecting, and developing accounts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiar with digital freight forwarder platforms and processes.
  • Ability to build trustworthy relationships with customers at all levels (C Level, Managers, Staff).
  • Excellent presentation and selling skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow up with clients.
  • Microsoft proficient (PPT/Excel/Word).
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

Base Pay and Bonus:

The base pay range for this role is between $90,000 ~ $140,000/year, and your base pay will depend on your skills, education, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, you will be eligible for a sales bonus of up to 40% annually based on operating profit and sales revenue achievement rate based on KPI/Revenue Target.
