Job Title: Research Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team at Shaw University. As a Research Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Principal Investigator in various research projects.

About the Job:

This is a part-time opportunity for undergraduate students who are upperclassmen (Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors). You will be responsible for assisting faculty in the identification and dissemination of academic research, including but not limited to collection and analysis. You must participate in training of the statistical and thematic analysis of data. Additionally, you should have an interest in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence research. You may be given the opportunity to present at academic research presentations and/or publish academic research papers. If you have high demands on your schedule due to extra-curricular, athletic competitions, or other academic duties, this job may not be suitable for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the identification of academic research.
  • Assist in the dissemination of academic research.
  • Develop research methodology.
  • Collect and analyze qualitative data.
  • Collect and analyze quantitative data.
  • Attend and participate in research conferences, workshops, and trainings.

Requirements:
  • Freshmen & Sophomore Work-Study Students
  • Classroom experience in conducting academic research.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Qualitative writing skills.
  • High-level interpersonal skills.

  • Time management skills.

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in any field.

Salary: $45,000 per year.
