Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of general financial accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software, particularly QuickBooks Desktop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the company's general ledger, including the establishment of new accounts, reconciliation of ledger accounts with external statements, and monthly financial closing.
  • Conduct reconciliations for all company bank and credit card statements.
  • Generate additional financial reports as requested by management.
  • Manage weekly payroll processing, including tax payments and preparation of quarterly and annual payroll tax filings.
  • Prepare monthly Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss statements.
  • Supervise accounting personnel to ensure timely entry and payment of vendor invoices and collection of accounts receivable.
  • Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset schedule of the company's assets.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Exhibit exceptional attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, fostering productive working relationships.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Compensation:

Salary is commensurate with education and experience, starting at $75,000.00.

Benefits:

Includes medical, dental, and vision insurance (70% coverage for employees; 25% for dependents), traditional and Roth 401(k) retirement plans with a company match up to 5%, $15,000 in company-paid life insurance, two weeks of vacation, supplemental insurance options, and a Section 125 Cafeteria Plan.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday; 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
