Compensation Specialist Lead

LHH Recruitment Solutions, a leading recruitment solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Compensation Specialist Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management and leadership skills to oversee the compensation functions of our clients.
About the RoleWe are offering a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and supervise all activities necessary to process payroll, including maintaining related records, filing tax reports, processing involuntary deductions, preparing accounting transactions and documents, documenting and updating procedures, and preparing special reports for senior management.
- Conduct work planning, estimation, and prioritization to optimize team performance.
- Define standards and reusable approaches for payroll operations.
- Manage a team of payroll practitioners.
- Direct and develop staff, collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, and provide service excellence.
- An Associate's degree or equivalent required; a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of payroll experience, including at least 3-5 years of managing a team of payroll specialists.
- Recent enterprise resource planning, payroll implementation, and upgrade experience preferred.
- Experience with Oracle payroll systems and UKG/Kronos Timekeeping Systems preferred.
- Three years of leadership experience preferred, as well as experience in a union-based environment.
