Diagnostic Sonographer

The Diagnostic Sonographer is a skilled professional responsible for providing high-quality patient services using diagnostic ultrasound under the supervision of a physician. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging principles and the ability to operate complex equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of medical imaging principles and technologies
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in diagnostic ultrasound
- Graduation from an accredited School of Ultrasound required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Certificate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- One year experience or training in diagnostic ultrasound in at least two specialty areas, examples; abdomen and OB/GYN preferred
- Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) Required
