Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be instrumental in executing the Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Business System at our facility, aimed at fostering profitable growth, enriching the customer experience, and boosting employee involvement. This role involves collaboration with critical team members to spearhead projects and kaizen events, utilizing structured problem-solving techniques to refine systems and eradicate inefficiencies.
Daily Activities Include:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance processes for improved profitability and efficiency.
- Fostering a proactive culture of continuous improvement.
- Training, mentoring, and supporting teams to ensure sustainable system enhancements and independent process management.
- Partnering with the site PPI steering committee to accelerate the cultural transformation necessary for the PPI Business System.
- Assisting teams in identifying new initiatives through data analysis and management systems.
- Collaborating with the corporate PPI team to develop, promote, and standardize PPI practices and share best practices.
- Leading and managing the PPI project pipeline.
Qualifications for Success:
Educational Background:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, supply chain, operations, or business is preferred. A High School Diploma/GED is required.
- A Lean Practitioner with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Relevant Experience:
- Previous leadership roles in operations, commercial, engineering, quality, or product management are preferred.
- Familiarity with visual management/5S, value stream mapping, standard work, metric boards, stand-up meetings, and project funnel coordination.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies, including Black Belt certification.
- Proven track record in Process Improvement and Operational Excellence.
Skills and Attributes:
- A strong passion for driving improvements and leading organizational change.
- A consistent history of developing, training, and coaching teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in written, verbal, and presentation formats.
