Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at PTC of Tennessee, LLC. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing all vehicles and equipment serviced by our facilities. You will work with the highest degree of professional competence, ensuring quality of work, product knowledge, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair all vehicles and equipment serviced by our facilities
  • Perform with the highest degree of professional competence, ensuring quality of work, product knowledge, and customer service
  • Work with a team of experienced technicians to ensure efficient and effective repairs
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in the industry
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure seamless service
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of direct mechanic experience on heavy trucks or equipment
  • Ability to perform vehicle lubrication systems and D.O.T. safety inspections
  • Dependable team player with a positive attitude
  • Ability to lift and move up to 65 pounds

Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is normally loud.
