UCLA Health Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to join our team. As a PICU RN, you will provide exceptional patient care to critically ill children and their families.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill children in the PICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient vital signs, lab results, and other relevant data.
- Participate in code blue and other emergency situations as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in pediatric critical care.
- Current California RN license.
- BSN degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) or similar setting.
- AHA BLS and PALS certifications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- CVICU experience.
- Level 1 trauma hospital experience.
4-5 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Dayshift weekends: Saturday-Sunday. Nightshift weekends: Friday-Saturday.
