Job Summary:

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiovascular team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of evidence-based practice protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical assessments, treatments, and clearances for patients, adhering to regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Develop and implement appropriate plans of care, ensuring accurate and systematic documentation of findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to evaluate complex patients and identify appropriate interventions and evaluation of outcomes.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain documentation of clinical competencies, adhering to Board of Nursing and national certification body requirements.
  • Float to various clinic locations as needed, promoting a collaborative work environment that supports the organizational mission, behavior expectations, and values.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing or completion of an approved physician's assistant program.
  • Masters Degree required, with experience in relevant patient care settings or as regulations dictate.
  • Valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License or Physician Assistant License, with Advanced Practice Nurse Certification or Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Prepared Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant with a minimum of 3 years professional experience.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills, with effective verbal and written communication skills.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Maintains clinical competencies through participating in continuing educational programs and clinical practice, adhering to Board of Nursing and national certification body requirements.
  • Develops and implements appropriate plans of care, ensuring accurate and systematic documentation of findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to evaluate complex patients and identify appropriate interventions and evaluation of outcomes.
