Data Protection Specialist

As a Data Protection Specialist on our Privacy Team, you will play a key role in helping clients navigate the complexities of data privacy and protection.
With approximately 7 years of related work experience, or a graduate degree and around 6 years of experience, you will possess a strong understanding of global privacy regulations and a proven track record of assessing client risk and compliance.
Your expertise in security technologies, operating systems, and application programming/scripting languages will enable you to design solutions to remediate gaps or enhance maturity of specific privacy capabilities.
You will work closely with executives to co-lead client engagements, foster relationships with client personnel, and lead pursuits and sales processes.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain insights into the design and operations of privacy programs and strategies in various industries, as well as learn how to design measurable, sustainable programs to keep up with the ever-changing regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Assess privacy programs and strategies using our proprietary framework
- Design solutions to remediate gaps or enhance maturity of specific privacy capabilities
- Improve measurements and monitoring, and develop sustainable processes to enable clients to achieve business goals and mitigate their risks
- Work with national practice teams to apply risk management principles to cybersecurity environments
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
- Approximately 5+ years of working in a Privacy environment assessing client risk and compliance to Global privacy regulations
- Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, OSI model), operating system fundamentals (Windows, UNIX, mainframe), security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.) and application programming/scripting languages (C, Java, Perl, Shell)
- Demonstrated experience in secure messaging/email encryption, mobile device security, disk/file/device/database encryption, data classification and privacy policies, digital rights management (DRM), logging, monitoring, and security event management
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance issues affecting clients related to privacy and data protection
We offer a comprehensive compensation package where you will be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The estimated salary range for this position is $168,900 to $386,100 per year, depending on location and experience.
