As the Principal Project Manager, Operations, you will lead strategic projects across Dedicated Transportation, working cross-functionally to implement solutions, drive performance, and monitor effectiveness. If you're driven and looking for a place to grow, we have an opportunity for you at RXO.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Provide leadership and focus, managing multiple projects with critical paths, task dependencies, risk mitigation, and major milestones.
  • Work with business leaders to identify and scope areas of opportunity for process improvements.
  • Support sales processes, including prospect presentations, data gathering, and solution design.
  • Contribute to best practices for RXO implementation processes, ensuring quality standards.
  • Apply project management expertise to ensure high-quality project deliverables, meeting timelines and contractual scope.
  • Drive customer onboarding and implementation for new business and navigate internal operations.

What You'll Need to Excel

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
  • 5 years of experience as Project/Program Manager in transportation and logistics or equivalent operational experience.
  • Experience in transportation and logistics, including Carrier Procurement, Load Planning & Execution, Freight Audit and Payment, Transportation Analysis, or Warehousing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Transportation Management software.
  • Availability to travel up to 30% of the time.

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Additional experience in logistics, transportation, or warehousing.
  • Additional experience or skills in an analytical field.
  • Microsoft Project experience or Project Planning Software.
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies.
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Lean or Six Sigma Certification and/or PMP.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • The self-motivation to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment.
