At Applied Intuition, we are accelerating the development of cutting-edge autonomy technology for real-world applications.

We are seeking a highly skilled Autonomy Research Engineer to join our team in San Francisco. The successful candidate will have a strong background in AI and autonomous systems, with experience in research and development of end-to-end autonomy stacks, multi-modal perception, and closed-loop simulation. In this role, you will work closely with our team to develop innovative solutions for scalable autonomy and data-driven paradigm.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team working on world-class research for autonomous systems and closed-loop simulation. You will contribute to the development of industry-leading models and techniques at scale, leveraging large datasets and real-world driving data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in areas including differentiable/end-to-end autonomy stack, multi-modal foundation models, closed-loop simulation for sensory and behavior generation with generative AI, and novel view synthesis.
  • Work collaboratively with other research scientists and engineers to develop high-quality research publications and products.
  • Closely work with engineering teams to test and deploy algorithms towards industry-leading performance.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong research background in AI and autonomous systems, with a MSc or PhD in machine learning and computer vision. You should also have hands-on experience in at least one of the following fields: end-to-end/differentiable autonomy stack, multi-view perception, imitation/reinforcement learning, behavior prediction, traffic simulation, and sensory generation.

Nice to Have:

Experience in language incorporation in driving tasks and passion for next-generation, scalable autonomy with data-driven paradigm.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this full-time position is $170,000 - $225,000 USD, based on location and industry standards.
