About the Role:

FIS is seeking a highly skilled Performance Quality Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Digital Platform team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the performance and scalability of our APIs and back-end services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and enable adoption of a performance test strategy that enables continuous automated performance testing in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop and execute performance test scripts to ensure the FIS Digital platform meets high standards of performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to setup and maintain performance test environments, configuration and test data.
  • Utilize performance monitoring tools to identify bottlenecks and work with development teams to resolve.
  • Communicate performance testing progress, risks and results to stakeholders to enable production deployment readiness decisions.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, K6, or Locust.
  • Experience with performance monitoring tools like DataDog APM or Dynatrace.
  • Proficient in JavaScript and at least one more scripting language, such as Python.
  • Experience with setup and maintenance of performance test environments and automated test data setup.
  • Knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab) and industry best practices for continuous performance testing.

What We Offer:

FIS offers a competitive salary range of $145,900.00, reflecting the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
