About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the veterinary team in delivering high-quality medical services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to veterinarians and veterinary students in the Oncology unit
  • Assist with patient care, including administering medications, taking vital signs, and performing laboratory tests
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology or related field
  • Current certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
  • Experience working in an Oncology unit or similar setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
