As a Behavioral Health Nurse Specialist at St. Vincent's Medical Center, you will provide direct patient care to individuals with complex behavioral health needs. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing individualized care plans, collaborating with the treatment team, and ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives, and interventions as needed.
- Implement nursing plans of care for assigned patients, including conducting and/or co-leading group therapy sessions.
- Evaluate patient response to interventions and revise nursing plans as necessary.
- Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel, consistent with their level of education and expertise.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut.
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
