Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mercury Outboard Engine Specialist to join our team at Systems Application & Technologies Inc. in Eglin AFB, FL.

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing outboard engines, as well as performing routine preventive maintenance tasks.

About the Role
  • This role involves working with various types of marine equipment, including outboard engines, and requires a high level of mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with Mercury outboard engines and possess a strong understanding of marine mechanics.
  • This position also requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 months of practical experience in outboard engine repair and maintenance.
  • Possession of an outboard engine maintenance certification or equivalent training.
  • Familiarity with safe and proper use of hand tools, nautical terms, and basic seamanship skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a seaborne environment.
  • Current Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
