The Community College System of New Hampshire is seeking a Counselor Education Specialist to join our team as a Part-time Practicum Coordinator Addiction Counseling.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major study in addiction counseling, human service, social work, substance use disorder treatment, counseling, social science, or a related field. Additionally, the candidate should have at least five years of experience in the Addiction Counseling profession and be licensed as a NH LADC or NH MLADC.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000 - $70,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating clinic/internship/co-op/practicum sites
  • Representing the program in program-related activities externally, as needed;
  • Supervising clinical/internship/co-op/practicum sites, as assigned by the Department Chair;
  • Advising practicum students within the Addiction Counseling academic program, as appropriate;
  • Coordinating site visits for Addiction Counseling students
  • Instructor(s) will teach one or more courses in NHTI's Human Services and Addiction Counseling programs

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major study in addiction counseling, human service, social work, substance use disorder treatment, counseling, social science, or a related field;
  • At least five years of experience in the Addiction Counseling profession;
  • Licensed as a NH LADC or NH MLADC;
  • Experience supervising students engaged in internship/practicum courses;
  • Current or prior Human Service and/or Addiction Counseling experience required;
  • In-person instruction is required for Practicum/Internships;
  • Experience and familiarity with Canvas or a similar learning management system (LMS) is a plus.
