Job Description

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects to students with mild to moderate disabilities.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and professionals to create and maintain a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular updates to parents and school administrators.
  • Maintain accurate and complete student records.
  • Attend IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other relevant meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with various teaching methods and educational technology.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations regarding special education.
  • Ability to manage a diverse classroom and handle challenging behaviors effectively.
