Director of Special Education and Athletic Director

Burgettstown Area School District is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as its next Director of Special Education and Athletic Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate special education programs and services for students with disabilities.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and administrators to ensure compliance with special education regulations and laws.
  • Oversee athletic programs and events for grades 7-12, including coaching, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student athlete development and success.

Requirements:

  • Valid PDE Certificate endorsed for Supervisor of Special Education or Principal K-12.
  • Experience with special education programming and athletic administration.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of PIAA rules and regulations.
