Job Title: Med-Surg RN

Altru Health is seeking a skilled Med-Surg RN to join our team. As a Med-Surg RN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients on the medical-surgical unit, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical, psychological, social, and educational needs, developing individualized plans of care to meet those needs.
  • Implement nursing interventions to promote patient safety, comfort, and well-being, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing education to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient care, including communicating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in North Dakota or compact state agreement.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
