Travel Nurse RN Med Surg

Job Details- Shift: 12 hours

- Hours: 36 hour rotating A/P shifts
The Travel Nurse RN Med Surg will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the organization. The nurse will maintain the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
The nurse will facilitate the coordination of patient care within the interdisciplinary care team and provide patient education to assure safe patient discharge. The nurse will perform daily rounds on all patients, ensuring quality customer service by coordinating and taking action on any requirements not met.
The Travel Nurse RN Med Surg will develop a plan of care based on assessment that reflects the patient's physical, psychological, social, educational, developmental, and rehabilitative needs. The nurse will assess the patient's condition and nursing needs, set goals, and prescribe appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals and the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of the patient, including discharge planning.
The nurse will complete and submit all incident reports (patient, visitor, staff) prior to the completion of each shift. The nurse will begin discharge planning, appropriate education, and counseling based on identified needs to optimize patient/family understanding.
The Travel Nurse RN Med Surg will evaluate and document according to standard operating procedure. The nurse will assign or delegate, within the scope of practice, education, and experience, the responsibility for performance of nursing interventions to other persons for which that person has the necessary skills and competence to accomplish safely.
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
