Key Responsibilities
The Senior Kitchen Supervisor must possess a thorough understanding of culinary techniques and be capable of preparing both hot and cold dishes using approved recipes that meet stringent standards. This encompasses the entire process from handling raw ingredients to the final presentation for service or display. The Supervisor is accountable for upholding food safety and sanitation protocols, ensuring that all food is managed in compliance with health regulations and Craft Culinary Concepts policies. Responsibilities include the proper utilization of cooking tools and equipment, as well as the correct storage, labeling, and dating of food items, while maintaining clean and sanitized workspaces.

The Supervisor will collaborate with a diverse team, each with varying levels of expertise in high-volume kitchen operations, to achieve successful outcomes. This includes maintaining cleanliness in kitchen areas during and after events, ensuring they are ready for subsequent use.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess a valid Food Handler Card on file with Craft Culinary Concepts and available for each shift
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to recipes
  • Must comprehend and adhere to detailed recipe instructions
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of all pre-employment documentation, successful background check, and math assessment involving U.S. currency
  • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Additional Skills/Attributes
Preferred qualifications include a current ServSafe Certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen setting. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and remain on their feet for extended periods. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential. The ability to operate in environments with significant temperature variations and elevated noise levels is also required.
