Packaging Specialist

Renfro Brands is seeking a skilled Packaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Packaging Department, you will be responsible for organizing and monitoring administrative, product, and project-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Administrative Tasks: Adds and updates logo and art files to the PLM Digital Asset folder and packaging component folders.
- Artwork Proofing: Proofs artwork created by graphics and from nominated printers.
- Supply Chain Management: Sends artwork files to suppliers, both international and domestic.
- Quality Control: Proofs packaging tech packs assigned to styles in the PLM database.
- Sample Review: Reviews and approves sales and pre-production samples and communicates daily with factories to resolve questions or issues.
- File Management: Sets up and maintains files by season, brand, and customer of printed PLM style tech packs.
- Brand Management: Sets up and maintains packaging brand books with new and updated artwork and printed samples.
- Component Assignment: Assigns packaging components and put-up assemblies to styles in the PLM database.
- Material Selection: Determines packaging sizes and materials to meet marketing and production criteria.
- Method Development: Develops packaging methods.
- Material Assignment: Assigns packaging materials (labels, swiftach, hangers, balers, prepack cases).
- Concept Development: Assists in designing new packaging concepts.
- Style Updates: Adds BOM to new styles created and updates and maintains styles in PLM when changes are made.
- Work Instruction Development: Creates and maintains work instruction templates in Excel.
- Professional Qualifications: Excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and meeting deadlines.
- Positive Attitude: Positive attitude and ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Teamwork: Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to openly share ideas and effectively communicate cross-functionally.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.
- Self-Starter: Demonstrated experience in being a self-starter.
- Customer Service: Ability to deal with internal/external customers with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Education: Four-year college degree in graphics, design, fashion, or product development or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
The work environment is a conditioned office environment with a moderate noise level. Consistent daily attendance is required, and occasional off-shift support may be needed. Travel to multiple work sites may be required.
