Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Audio-Visual Installation Technician to join our team at Insight Global. As an AV Installation Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of audio-visual systems in large corporate buildings. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and configure audio-visual equipment, including speakers, microphones, and projectors.
  • Cable and terminate audio-visual systems, ensuring proper connections and functionality.
  • Support the preparation of equipment racks for staging and installation.
  • Read and understand functional design drawings, cable riser diagrams, and architectural drawings.
  • Assist in the mounting of base build equipment, such as monitor mounts and ceiling speakers.
  • Provide daily feedback to Project Managers and Site Superintendents.
  • Build and wire custom designs from engineering drawings.
  • Handle, install, and terminate fiber optic cables.
  • Maintain an organized work environment and ensure cleanliness of the shop and job sites.
  • Responsible for maintaining toolkits, company vehicles, and installation materials inventories.
  • Responsible for maintaining personal licenses, certifications, and qualifications.
Requirements
  • Commercial audio-visual integration or related industry experience preferred.
  • OSHA 30 Certificate is highly desired.
  • AVIXA CTS and other certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of associated audiovisual installation or fabrication experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Electrical Trainee Card.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and adhere to our insurance requirements.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of audio, video, and networking equipment.
  • Knowledgeable of low voltage electrical concepts.
  • Possess basic carpentry and/or installation skills.
  • Proficient use and safety with power tools.
  • Good verbal communication skills and good customer service skills.
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems.
