Job Summary:

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for performing advanced assembly operations of complex assemblies in accordance with quality and quantity standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize a variety of hand/power tools to perform assembly operations
  • Train employees in basic and complex operations
  • Perform all work in accordance with Standard work outline
  • Assemble car locks daily dependent on hour-by-hour schedule
  • Navigate through kits provided to assemble each build
  • Perform all work in a safe manner, including proper use of personal protective equipment
  • Follow Specification of inspections as noted
  • Dimensionally check and test production to ensure assembled output meets requirements per AQL standards
  • Utilize properly calibrated precision measuring instruments
  • Inform the Team Leader of any operating/material/parts condition that would interfere with quality/quantity production
  • Perform operator maintenance and operational checks on all departmental tools and equipment
  • Segregate and periodically dispose of scrap/recycled material into approved collection containers
  • Frequently lift/move up to and including 50 lbs
  • Stand, walk, bend, crouch, squat, kneel, reach, and climb as required by the job
  • Receive daily direction and support from the Team Leader/Supervisor
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • Hard skills: assembly, attention to detail, tool use
  • Job Type: Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 months
  • Work Site: Fully on-site position
  • Work Environment: Monday – Friday, with mandatory work on the last week of the month to meet deadlines
