Mechanical Assembler Position

Perform all work in accordance with Standard work outline.
Assemble car locks daily dependent on hour by hour schedule.
Navigate through kits provided to assemble each build.
Performs all work in a safe manner, to include proper use of personal protective equipment.
Follows Specification of inspections as noted.
Dimensionally checks and tests production to insure assembled output meets requirements per AQL standards.
Utilizes properly calibrated precision measuring instruments such as calipers, depth gages, thread gages, pin gages, and other measuring tools.
Informs the Team Leader of any operating / material / parts condition that would interfere with quality / quantity production, and takes / coordinates approved actions to resolve the problem(s).
The Assembler-I segregates and periodically disposes of scrap / recycled material into approved collection containers.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
1 year of experience doing assembly; emphasis on mechanical - must have.
Experience using basic hand tools - must have.
Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
Good communications skills and attention to detail are required for this position.
Ability to follow S.O.P's and work safely.
Ability to read and write to comply with written instructions and complete departmental paperwork.
