Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Monitoring Specialist to join our team at Wisconsin Community Services. As a key member of our Electronic Monitoring Unit, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electronic monitoring programs, including GPS/SCRAM and drug testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Administration: Ensure that all technical functions related to electronic monitoring are performed in accordance with our program manual and policies.
  • Participant Support: Provide supervision and support to participants in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Jefferson, Washington, and Manitowoc Counties, as well as other locations as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform installations, technical maintenance, and de-installations of electronic monitoring equipment.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report all alerts and violations in a timely manner, and communicate with participants, courts, and referring entities as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and physical control of all equipment at all locations.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with program staff, external entities, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective operation of our electronic monitoring programs.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree in criminal justice or a related field.
  • Experience: Strong preference for experience in case management or offender monitoring.
  • Certification: Certification with EM equipment required within 60 days of hire.
  • Skills: Strong writing skills, ability to multi-task, and good communication skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires good hearing and the ability to communicate verbally, as well as hand and finger dexterity for data entry and typing. The position also involves driving to various locations and working with persons involved in the criminal justice system.
