Job Summary

The Night Auditor/Guest Services Agent is a key member of our front desk team, responsible for ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Balances and audits room revenue, room and tax charges, cashier's reports, and guest and house accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Completes and transmits daily management and accounting reports, as well as prepares customer tracking and market segmentation reports.
  • Assists guests with arrival and departure, providing a positive experience and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Completes the registration process, inputting and retrieving information from our computer system, and confirming guest details.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all guest and hotel information.
  • Exhibits attention to detail to ensure security of guest room access.
  • Manages guest requests, inquiries, and complaints, ensuring follow-up is performed in a timely manner to maintain high guest satisfaction and quality service.
  • Handles cash and credit card transactions, processing guest accounts upon checkout in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Maintains complete knowledge of hotel features, services, hours of operation, room types, and rates.
  • Follows proper hotel safety policies and procedures, using safety equipment as needed to ensure the safety of all team members.
  • Ensures work area is clean and clear of debris or objects that can obstruct job duties.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, and college degree preferred.
  • Previous hotel front desk and Marriott brand experience is preferred.
  • Accounting background is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Able to handle cash and credit transactions.
  • General knowledge of local area attractions and transportation.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers with tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information, and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
  • Command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow up with excellent customer service skills.
Working Conditions

This role requires regular attendance and a flexible schedule, including weekday, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. The ability to work a varied schedule is essential to the success of this position.

Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming is also essential, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.

Some lifting may be required, and this position may require 75%+ of time on their feet.
