Job Summary

The Endocrinology and Metabolism Physician is a key member of the Denver Health team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading the endocrine services team. This role requires a strong clinical background in endocrinology and metabolism, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans to address a wide range of endocrine and metabolic disorders.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in endocrinology and metabolism research and treatment options.
  • Participate in clinical research studies to advance our understanding of endocrine and metabolic disorders and treatment options.
  • Provide teaching and training to medical students, house staff, and fellows, and contribute to the development of clinical research protocols.

Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate Program Completion of a fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism.
  • MD-Physician - State Medical Board Required.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and social skills.
  • Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels, and value systems.
