  • This role is designed for a Senior Power BI Analyst with expertise in SQL and data warehousing for large-scale systems at Crescens.
  • The primary responsibility is to architect, develop, test, and implement sophisticated Power BI solutions that utilize data from various warehouse and source systems across multiple domains.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to fellow team members on Power BI methodologies and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and sustain high-level analytics solutions and reports utilizing Power BI Desktop, hosted on Power BI Report Server.
  • Establish and adhere to best practices in Power BI development.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with SQL Server, including the optimization of queries for efficient data retrieval.
  • Create and manage Power Pivot models, datasets, and data flows following industry best practices.
  • Offer system support for the Power BI Report Server environment, managing both development and production settings.
  • Oversee report security, folder security, database row-level security, report scheduling, and distribution.
  • Engage with complex queries, utilizing specialized business technologies and applications within the Microsoft ecosystem, such as DAX Studio, Tabula Editor, and Power BI Report Builder.
  • Conduct unit testing to ensure the accuracy and integrity of reports and data.
  • Deliver training to users (business and clients) on BI reporting tools and reports as necessary.
  • Identify and resolve data integrity and performance challenges.
  • Proactively communicate issues, risks, and concerns to management.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather and define requirements, produce clear functional/technical documentation, and provide project updates.
Required Qualifications:
  • Extensive hands-on experience in developing Reports, Dashboards, and Scorecards using Power BI.
  • Over 7 years of experience with Microsoft BI tools, including Power Pivot, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
  • At least 5 years of practical experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Report Builder, Power BI Report Server, and DAX Studio, with deep technical knowledge to implement features and resolve issues.
  • 5+ years in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and data architecture.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Power BI Report Server Administration.
  • 5+ years of expertise in advanced MDX and DAX expressions.
  • 5+ years of experience in data modeling using Power Query and Power Pivot.
  • Experience integrating Power BI Reporting with Angular/.NET Core Applications.
  • Strong PL/SQL development skills, capable of writing complex and nested SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Familiarity with source control tools such as GitHub and Azure DevOps.
Technical Skills:
  • Creating paginated reports with Power BI Report Builder.
  • Developing Dashboards and Scorecards using Power BI Desktop.
  • Administration of Power BI Service.
