Job Summary

The University of South Carolina is seeking a highly qualified Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our team as a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Neuropsychology. This is an open-rank position that will play a pivotal role in advancing our research efforts related to brain health and language recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and consultation services for patients referred to the USC Brain Health Network.
  • Review clinical assessment data and make recommendations regarding patient care and care planning.
  • Collaborate with Primary Care Physicians and Behavioral Neurologists to ensure that USC Brain Health Network patients receive optimal and coordinated care.
  • Conduct innovative research in the field of neuropsychology with a focus on brain health and language recovery, utilizing neuroimaging tools and AI methodologies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines to foster a multidisciplinary approach to research.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Neuropsychology or a related field.
  • Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous teaching experience at the university level.
  • Experience in securing research grants.
  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary research collaborations.
  • Strong research background with a focus on brain health and language recovery.
  • Proficiency in neuroimaging techniques.
  • Proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Effective communication and teaching skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented academic environment.
