About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at UNC Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine procedures and tests using radiology equipment to acquire patient diagnostic data.
  • Prepare for and assist the radiologist in completion of intricate radiographic procedures, including preparation and administration of contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Perform patient assessments and provide patient care, ensuring the appropriateness of examination and assessing the quality of radiographic images.
  • Ensure that patient demographic, emulsion markers, and examination requested are correct, critique, orient, and save all pertinent images, transmit QA-ed images to PACS, and document completion and/or cancellation of all procedures in RIS.
  • Conduct routine procedures and tests using radiology equipment to acquire patient diagnostic data, performing work in a timely manner and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Verify patient identity, obtain patient history relevant to examination order, and assess patients physical condition and develop an action plan for performing examination.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
