We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in conducting procedures and tests using MRI equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Identification: Verify patient identification, obtain patient history, and ensure patient safety.
- MRI Technology: Demonstrate knowledge of MRI and cross-sectional human anatomy, operate MRI scanners, and maintain active status with the ARRT.
- Contrast Administration: Administer oral contrast to adult and pediatric patients, establish intravenous lines, and follow safe and proper injection procedures.
- Image Transfer: Maintain thorough understanding of PACS, transmit images to QC, UNCH's EMR, EPIC, and PACS, and verify patient identification.
- Education: Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
- Licensure/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible.
- Professional Experience: Prior education, training, and experience that provides the ability to perform the assigned tasks.
