The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is seeking a highly skilled Health Program Specialist I to join our team at the California Men's Colony in San Luis Obispo, CA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our inmates and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement health programs and services to meet the needs of our inmates and staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of healthcare services.
- Conduct health assessments and provide health education to inmates and staff.
- Develop and maintain accurate records and reports related to health programs and services.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance healthcare services.
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or a related field.
- Three years of experience in health program administration, with at least one year of experience in a correctional setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures.
