About the Role

MWH Constructors is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to support the engineering coordination and construction of the Electrical and Instrumentation and Controls packages on a large wastewater treatment plant project in San Francisco, CA.

This position will report directly to the Senior Instrumentation and Controls PM and will be responsible for supporting all aspects of delivery for instrumentation and controls work, including shop drawing and RFI management, As Built maintenance, contract management, change management, quality management, and issues management.

The Project Engineer must ensure work is performed in accordance with the contract documents and other engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • RFIs and Submittals: Review requests for information from subcontractors for clarity and confirm information that cannot be discerned from the contract documents.
  • Project Coordination, Communication, and Problem Solving: Provide support to the Trade Package Project Managers and Site Superintendents, manage shop drawings, and assist in the management of Time and Materials tickets.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all RFI's, submittals, and related correspondence.
Requirements
  • BS degree in engineering required
  • 2+ years of experience in project engineering or field engineering in electrical, controls, or instrumentation fields
  • Familiarity with reading contract drawings and specifications, and basic construction principles and practices
Preferred Qualifications
  • Instrumentation, controls or electrical experience in the water/wastewater industry, or similar industries
