We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join our team at Maryland Energy Advisors. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing energy efficiency opportunities through an outbound sales approach, building relationships with stakeholders, and promoting the Utility's Small Commercial Direct Install Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source energy efficiency opportunities through a multifaceted approach, including outbound sales calls, emails, and outreach efforts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including business owners, decision-makers, and industry partners.
  • Act as a customer advocate to ensure accurate knowledge of energy efficiency rebate programs and promote the benefits of energy conservation solutions.
  • Cultivate new business opportunities through relationships with professional organizations and trade allies.
  • Apply knowledge of state and federal funding programs to drive deeper energy savings.
  • Maintain and update information in our CRM system.
  • Attend and participate in networking events, conferences, and speaking engagements.
  • Support traditional and digital marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Provide support to the Program Manager as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent.
  • Industry-proven outside sales experience, with energy efficiency experience a plus.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including good listening, probing, and qualification abilities.
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and client service orientation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to regularly meet with stakeholders within the service territory for customer meetings and events.
