We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Animal Care Specialist to join our team at ABC Animal Hospital. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry patients.
Key Responsibilities- Animal Care and Handling: Provide humane care and treatment to every patient, including administering medications, performing diagnostic procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain proper paperwork and medical records, restock supplies, and upkeep the treatment area and exam rooms.
- Communication and Teamwork: Interact with patients, clients, and coworkers in a professional and courteous manner, and escalate feedback to management as needed.
- Technical Skills: Comfortable using multiple digital platforms, including Windows, Cornerstone, and Google Drive.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous Experience: Previous veterinary experience is highly preferred, as well as experience with Neo and IDEXX.
- Soft Skills: Ability to multitask in high-stress environments, maintain a high level of professionalism, and provide excellent customer service.
The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, using hands to grab, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and talking or hearing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to pounds.
