Position Summary:

The role of a Brake Press Technician involves the setup and operation of brake presses along with various other machinery. Responsibilities include configuring and bending components to meet OnePointe Solutions' stringent quality benchmarks, maintaining the brake press in optimal working condition, ensuring all documentation is accurately completed, and keeping the workspace organized and tidy.

Supervisory Role:

  • No supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain necessary tooling for tasks and prepare the machine accordingly.
  • Post-operation, safely remove tooling and return it to designated storage areas.
  • Interpret and adhere to blueprints, manufacturing instructions, inspection cards, and technical drawings.
  • Conduct inspections for defects during press operations and meticulously document findings using inspection cards.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify defective components as needed.
  • Learn and utilize various measurement and testing instruments, including CMM, height gauges, hardness testers, micrometers, calipers, and rulers.
  • Identify operational issues and seek assistance when necessary.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in reading and comprehending English.
  • Capability to interpret and follow blueprints.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience with industrial machinery is preferred.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Preferred experience as a Brake Operator: 3 years.
  • Preferred experience in manufacturing: 2 years.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.
  • Capacity to stand for up to 90% of the workday.
  • Willingness to work in environments without heating or air conditioning.
