Hurd Construction Management is seeking a skilled Project Director for Commercial Construction to oversee various construction projects in Florida. This full-time role involves managing multiple projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and tracking to ensure timely completion.
  • Collaborate with site Superintendents to evaluate construction means and methods.
  • Promote and maintain client relationships by providing excellent customer service.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and monitor progress to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Assist with job estimates by interpreting bid documents.
  • Develop and write subcontracts, purchase orders, and requisitions as required.
  • Manage project schedules, track costs, and report on financial performance to ensure project earnings are met.
  • Enact plans to improve production efficiency and reduce expenses.
  • Work closely with the Construction Operations Manager regarding resources required to meet project schedule.
  • Ensure safety compliance by monitoring company/project safety requirements and implementing corrective measures.
  • Direct communication with project Owners, Construction Managers, and project teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or minimum 5 years of equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience working on commercial construction projects.
  • Capable of working with diverse workforces and collaborating effectively.
  • Self-directed, able to work independently within remote environments, and proficient in Microsoft365.
  • Proven experience working in computerized construction management systems (e.g., Procore, Sage).
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification (if not currently held, obtain within the first 60 days).
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of $78,000 to $114,000, including an annual bonus at plan. The base salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
