Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Avionica. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic circuitry and systems for our cutting-edge aerospace technology products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electronic circuitry and systems using modern computer-based tools and laboratory instrumentation.
  • Utilize advanced modeling and analysis tools to develop product specifications, models, simulations, and technical data packages.
  • Provide engineering consultation to other technical groups and lead multi-disciplinary teams of engineers.
  • Conduct and support subsystem and system integration and verification activities, manufacturing and test planning, and failure analysis.
  • Lead RTCA/DO-160 Environmental Qualification Testing and generate peripheral documentation to support design and verification.
  • Utilize high-level logic development languages to implement necessary functionality within FPGA-based designs.
  • Lead corrective action, troubleshooting, and analysis for product performance and end-of-life components.
  • Recommend design approaches for new or improved products and processes.
  • Specification and design of test equipment for the production environment.
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities, technologies, services, and ability to deliver required products or services.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in PC Board schematic and layout.
  • 2 years of experience in RTCA/DO-160 or equivalent Environmental Qualification Testing.
  • 1 year of leadership experience, including directly managing schedules and resources.
  • Expert knowledge of FPGA designs (VHDL or Verilog).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including initiative, abstract conceptualizing, perseverance, and ability to provide direction despite uncertain conditions.
  • Independently determines and develops proactive approaches to solutions, including the use of innovative approaches and new technology.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in problem-solving, multitasking, and managing own projects.
  • Demonstrates creativity necessary to ensure success and uses advanced techniques to identify and provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
  • Effectively communicates and works cooperatively with others and as part of a team.
