About the Role

A Bright Future, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team in Napa. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live independently and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement program curricula and deliver individual and group learning experiences to support participants in achieving their Individualized Plan (IPP) objectives.
  • Maintain accurate data on participant progress and participate in assessment, planning, and evaluation processes.
  • Prepare teaching materials for Independent Living Skills Training and Support Service sessions.
  • Schedule participant sessions and programming according to their IPP and Training domains.
  • Provide training and support in areas such as money management, nutrition, cooking, comparison shopping, emergency procedures, community education, medical procedures, counseling, and crisis intervention.
  • Coordinate participant training programs with other services and benefit systems.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and individual meetings with your supervisor.

Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19, and have a valid driver's license with a clean DMV record.
  • CPR and First Aid training, or willingness to be trained within 30 days of employment, TB clearance within 30 days of employment, and Department of Justice fingerprint clearance prior to employment.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and IHSS provider certification in the county(s) of placement within 30 days of employment.
  • Prefer behavioral training and knowledge of the Regional Center System servicing developmentally disabled individuals.
Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to talk and hear, regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach within arm's length, lift and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds, possess visual acuity, and possibly drive during their assigned work shift.
