Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Diagnostic Medical Sonography Instructor to join our faculty team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching credited academic and technical courses at the freshmen and sophomore levels, as well as performing other duties associated with institutional effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruction
    • Develop and deliver high-quality instruction for credited academic and technical courses, adhering to all requirements outlined and published regarding the learning management system.
    • Teach from current job-relevant course syllabi and training plans, supplementing lectures and demonstrations with multimedia materials.
    • Demonstrate the safe use of equipment to students and include safety, health, and fire prevention as an integral part of instruction.
    • Maintain a conducive learning environment, supervise students, and maintain discipline in class, lab, and shop.
    • Develop laboratory projects that enable students to relate theory to practical application through laboratory assignments.
    • Administer written and performance examinations systematically to determine students' progress and administer final written and performance examinations.
    • Implement a system of recording student progress and communicate students' progress to students and appropriate personnel by established guidelines.
  • Recordkeeping
    • Maintain permanent rolls and accurate attendance of students.
    • Submit attendance reports as required on time and follow the state and institution's adopted grading system.
    • Submit grades each term for each student by the due date and assist students in submitting required documents for graduation.
  • Enforcement of College Policies
    • Participate in departmental orientation and communicate to students announcements as directed by the administration.
    • Follow institutional and System policies, procedures, and guidelines, adhering to FERPA Regulations and reporting any known violations.
    • Adhere to ADA Accommodation requirements when presented with official documentation.
Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree and hold a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification.
