Railway Engineering Supervisor

As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the vast network of tracks, structures, and facilities essential for safe and efficient train operations across the country. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around leadership, training, and safety, and contribute to our team's success and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and managers to learn and implement best practices in railway engineering.
- Inspect, maintain, repair, and construct our track infrastructure, which encompasses rails, ties, and ballast, to uphold BNSF's standards.
- Participate in various projects related to infrastructure maintenance, construction, and innovation.
- Foster relationships with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States and will be at least eighteen (18) years old upon hire AND have a valid Driver's License or will have a valid Driver's License upon hire.
- Does not require sponsorship to obtain, maintain, or extend authorization to work in the United States.
- Capable of working in a 24/7 environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and can safely perform duties outdoors in all weather conditions or in a shop, terminal, or field environment.
- Able and willing to relocate anywhere on the BNSF Railway operating system (western 28 states) upon hire, career progression, and/or business needs.
- Have a high school degree or achieved a degree through a GED program.
- Have at least three (3) years of military and/or professional work experience supervising five (5) or more employees.
