Position Summary:

The Dining Room Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional dining and beverage service to members and guests within the casual dining area. This role involves assisting with the setup, upkeep, and safety of dining spaces. The ideal candidate will: provide exemplary food and beverage service; efficiently complete opening and closing tasks; adhere to club policies and procedures; maintain cleanliness and order; ensure member satisfaction standards are consistently met; utilize training resources to learn member names and greet them appropriately; and seek opportunities to create memorable experiences while delivering outstanding service with warm hospitality. Responsibilities:
  • Punctually arrive for shifts, well-groomed and in appropriate attire.
  • Prepare and organize your section, ensuring all dining essentials are clean and in order.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu offerings prior to service.
  • Warmly greet members and their guests by name.
  • Recommend and describe available food and beverage options.
  • Coordinate food service between the kitchen and dining staff.
  • Maintain all service ware items in pristine condition.
  • Address and resolve complaints from members and guests professionally.
  • Understand and follow safety and emergency protocols consistently.
  • Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness and safety, reporting any issues to management.
  • Complete pre-opening cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with guest reservation systems as needed.
  • Support food and beverage service in various outlets and special events.
  • Help with clearing and resetting tables as required.
  • Advise management on the need for additional supplies and equipment.
  • Enforce established club rules and regulations.
  • Participate in pre-service briefings before shifts.
  • Adhere to local and state laws regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Foster a positive work environment and build professional relationships with colleagues.
  • Follow safety and security protocols, promptly reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions.
  • Complete required training and courses related to food and beverage service.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
  • Able to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds or more.
  • Capable of standing and moving independently and safely throughout the work area.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to eight hours or more.
  • Ability to see and hear, or use assistive devices to ensure these senses function adequately.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of sensitivity towards others.
  • Ability to inspire teamwork among staff and work effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Prepared to handle moderate physical and emotional stress associated with food and beverage service. Must be flexible with scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
