Job Title: Special Education Teacher

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to cater to the unique needs of students with special requirements.
  • Employ a range of teaching methods and innovative technologies to engage students in learning and promote academic success.
  • Monitor student progress closely and adjust teaching strategies as needed to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and specialists to provide comprehensive support for student learning.
  • Maintain open and consistent communication with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and educational goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Possession of a valid Maryland Special Education Teaching License or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Demonstrated experience working with students who have diverse learning needs.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing personalized IEPs to meet individual student requirements.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment commonly used in special education.
  • Knowledge of effective behavior management techniques and positive behavior supports.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, contributing effectively to educational planning and implementation.
